It is hard to believe that the Class of 1976's 50th Reunion is almost here. On October 3, 2026, they will gather to celebrate five decades of friendship, sisterhood, and the lasting impact of their Ursuline Academy experience.
As this milestone approaches, we are delighted to share that the Spirit of ’76 Honoring Sally Maguire Endowed Scholarship has been established. Thanks to the generosity of the Class of 1976, we have already surpassed the $50,000 required to create this permanent fund.
This achievement is a fitting tribute to Sally Maguire, who for nearly fifty years has served as historian, organizer, cheerleader, and champion for the Class of 1976, helping classmates stay connected through every season of life. Her class could not think of a better way to honor her extraordinary dedication than by supporting a cause she cares deeply about, providing young women with the opportunity to receive an Ursuline education.
In keeping with the spirit of this tribute, the scholarship remains a surprise! Sally is unaware that this endowed fund has been created by her class in her honor and will learn about it for the first time during the reunion celebration on October 3, 2026. We look forward to sharing this special moment with her and celebrating the remarkable impact she has had on so many lives.
An endowed scholarship is a forever fund. The principal remains invested, while annual earnings provide tuition assistance to deserving students year after year. The larger the fund grows, the greater the impact it can have on future Ursuline students.
As we celebrate this special milestone and honor Sally's remarkable legacy, we invite members of the Ursuline community to consider making a gift to further strengthen the scholarship and expand its reach.
