Alumnae in the Archives

By Leah Folk

September 21, 2022

As our alumnae community prepares to celebrate their reunions in a few short weeks, the sharing of memories and special moments are filling the halls of UA. Since early this summer, those special memories, moments, and pieces of history have begun to come together, united under the history of Ursuline St. Louis, just as some of our alumnae have united and grown closer together.  Cheryl Laws, Mary Bull Johnson, Jan Dillon, Sarah Downing, and Chris Koslowski from the class of 1970 and Mary Sheridan and Pat Taylor Hornberg from the class of 1966 have been meeting nearly weekly to help categorize and sort through a collection of artifacts and history unique to the Ursuline story.

From four different locations in St. Louis to two mascots, four different skirt patterns, and one sisterhood the legacy of Ursuline Academy has stood proudly as a beautiful blend of history and innovation. Sorting through pieces of history, photographs, and special moments has taken a considerable amount of time and thoughtfulness, and it has been such a blessing and beautiful process to have these alums come together to commemorate all of where Ursuline has been, and be a part of the path forward.

We always love having our alumnae back on campus. This school year we have a number of opportunities for you to get involved and #neversaygoodbye.
There are several events with volunteer opportunities, as well as special events hosted by UA and the Alumnae Association.

To all our alumnae classes in 2’s and 7’s, don’t forget to join us for Ursuline Class Reunions on Saturday, Oct. 1, and partake in the sharing of memories and special moments with your classmates. We’d love to see you and celebrate!
