Endowment & Special Funds
Endowment
An endowed fund is a lasting investment created to provide ongoing financial support for Ursuline Academy.
The original donation remains invested while a portion of the investment earnings is used each year to fund the scholarship, program, facility need or other priority that you identify. Gifts of $50,000 or more may be named in honor/memory of the donor or a loved one.
Endowed funds are tremendously impactful, helping to meet short-term student needs while also assuring the long term sustainability of Ursuline Academy. Your giving is a true legacy of your commitment to the importance of Catholic education for young women.
Special Funds
Special Funds reflect the donor’s interest in supporting a particular program or need and may or may not be endowed.
We will work with you to direct your giving in the way that is most meaningful to you and matches your financial goals.
We look forward to talking with you about how your support will make the most impact, today and in the years to come.
I see my donation as an investment into the future women leaders of our society who are exceptionally well prepared for college, prepared to make tough decisions, prepared to lead with empathy and who have been nurturing a strong faith.

Endowed Scholarships
Scholarships help to meet the mission established by the Ursuline Sisters, which includes helping families overcome financial obstacles to Catholic education. Proceeds of perpetually invested gifts are used to meet the costs of tuition for one or more students.
Facility Gifts
Gifts that help to meet the Academy’s operational needs, maintain the historic character of the campus and also help to provide a modernized educational experience may occur on a one-time basis to meet a specific need or as an endowed gift that provides ongoing support.
Memorial Tree Program
As a proud member of the Kirkwood community, designated a Tree City USA, Ursuline is committed to maintaining the natural beauty of its campus. Donors have the ability to choose among a selection of tree species identified by an arborist and planted at one time of year depending upon weather conditions (generally early fall). A plaque at the base of the tree recognizes the donor and individual being honored/memorialized.
