Ursuline Academy has a zero-visible cell phone policy: cell phones, smartwatches, and wireless earbuds may not be out during the school day, including lunch, study hall, and special events. Devices must be turned off or silenced, and use is only permitted if a teacher permits a specific educational activity. Parents can always reach their child by calling the school office.

Ursuline offers a variety of clubs and organizations that students can participate in during their 45-minute Activity Period during the school day. All students are required to be in at least one club, and each club meets once a month. Students also have the opportunity to create their own club if they wish. Ursuline Academy has 3 school counselors who help support students in academics and class selection, college counseling, and social-emotional health. Each student is assigned a counselor as a freshman and will have them for all 4 years of their high school career.

Students with diverse learning needs are supported within the regular classroom through research-based instructional strategies, thoughtful accommodations, and collaboration between classroom teachers and our Learning Consultants. Together, we work to help each student reach her full potential—academically, socially, and personally. 

Ursuline Academy has a 8.4:1 student-to-teacher ratio, ensuring that each student is known, supported, and encouraged as an individual. This close-knit environment allows teachers to provide guidance that meets every student’s unique needs.

1) A+ program: We offer the A+ Scholarship program. Students who earn A+ status can receive full tuition at Missouri community colleges. There are a few in-state public colleges that give small scholarships to students who have A+. Guidelines are established by the state of Missouri.

2) Dual enrollment: We have dual credit partnerships with SLU, Missouri Baptist and UMSL.

3) Academic support: Math interventionist, counselors, Bear Basics, and more to help you stay on track and succeed.

Applications for the 2027–2028 school year will open on September 1, 2026, and can be found in the Admissions section of our website. Once the application is submitted, our Admissions Office will guide you through the remainder of the enrollment process. 

No, but we do offer a Placement Test in February of your 8th grade year, after you have already been accepted to UA. This helps determine Honors Courses, Academic Scholarships, and also helps identify students who may need additional support by participating in our Summer Enrichment courses.
