The Ursuline Academy Cheer Team is bringing home some hardware! On Saturday, September 20, the Bears competed at the MCCA St. Louis Regional Cheer Competition at Francis Howell North High School, taking first place in the 3A Small Division and earning the title of Regional Champions!

As the first team to take the mat that morning, the Bears set the tone with a strong performance against six other teams from across the region. Their championship lineup included freshmen Harper Hockenberry and Reagan Smith; sophomores Sophia Driscoll, Lulu Marsh, Kate Murphy and Tori Price; juniors Sarah Ahlheim, Gaby Beck, Maddy Cope, Mia Forrest, Claire Kolthoff and Bella Suda; and seniors Olivia Leahy, Audrey Mehan and Annabelle Tomiser.

“I couldn't be more proud of these athletes. Their resilience, trust, and determination carried them all the way to this win, and they earned every second of this moment,” said Jacie Coleman, UA Cheer Head Coach.

The team is coached by Coleman, along with assistant coaches Jenna Duenwald, Sophie Dolan and Kate Townsend. Congratulations to our regional champion Bears!
