Thelma Hartnett started teaching typing at Ursuline Academy in 1965. In 1966, she taught typing and shorthand, and in 1972, she started teaching consumer economics. She chaired the business department and taught consumer economics until 1992, when she joined the staff of the Advancement Office as the Director of Alumnae Relations.
Travel is a priority with Thelma and she went with the People to People program to China, and to Russia twice--first when Russia was under Communism and then when Russia was under Democracy. She has been in a golf league for over 25 years, and had a Hole-in-One in ’99. She has been a volunteer usher at the FOX theatre for over 25 years. Thelma loves working with the Ursuline Alumnae.
