Student Information

Each student attending Ursuline Academy is required to read during the summer in preparation for her English classes the following year. We have tried to gather a list encompassing all genres--the novel, poetry, drama, and the biography -- many tastes and varying reading abilities.

 

 

Each student must read two (2) books from the list during the summer: one is required; the other is the student’s choice. The student will be held accountable for her reading in the form of a test on the required book the student will take in the first week of class, and a written essay on the text chosen from the list. All assignments will be completed in the first two weeks of the semester and will be assigned a grade.
