U.A. Speech Team
Purpose
UA Speech Team participates in the Christian Interscholastic Speech League. Students compete at three meets held during the academic year and have the opportunity to compete at the Invitational Finals. Areas of performance include the following: extemporaneous speaking, humorous/serious speaking, original oratory, prose and poetry readings, duet-acting, storytelling, and radio broadcasting. The purpose of the UA Speech Team is to assist the student with gaining confidence and developing talents in area of performance.Moderator’s Name

Meeting Date/Time
The team is selected at the start of the academic year after students audition in areas of performance/interest. Rehearsals are arranged for individuals with the coaches. Meets for CISL are held on Sundays from 11:00 – 3:15 PM (3 times a year).Activities throughout the year
CISL meets, special performances, team dinners/rehearsals, participating in competitions that become available for students from community organizations.
